Wow! Ayan Mukerji make big announcements about directing Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor

The Bollywood movie 'Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva', featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022. As fans eagerly anticipate the release of the sequel, 'Brahmastra: Part Two- Dev', the filmmakers have finally announced an official update regarding the same.

Director Ayan Mukerji took to his Instagram account to share the news with his followers. In his post, he revealed the tentative release dates for both part two and part three of the Brahmastra trilogy. Ayan mentioned that he had been busy creating the vision for both parts, which he believes will be even bigger and more ambitious than the first installment.

Moreover, Ayan revealed that he plans to shoot part two and part three simultaneously, with both films being released closer together. However, before embarking on the Brahmastra sequels, Ayan will be directing another special movie, which he did not reveal much about.

According to Ayan's post, Brahmastra Part Two- Dev will hit theaters in December 2026, while Brahmastra Part Three is scheduled for release in December 2027. It's worth noting that Brahmastra was announced as a trilogy, and the first film took five years to complete before being released in September 2022. Despite its high budget of Rs. 500 crore, the film performed well at the box office, and Ranbir Kapoor clarified that the budget was allocated for all three films, not just the first part.

Ayan Mukerji has also announced that he will direct the upcoming film, War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan as the lead. This decision came as a result of the delay in the production of Brahmastra's sequels, which require further script development. Although Ayan did not explicitly mention War 2 in his Instagram post, Variety reported that he will be at the helm of the film and direct the next installment of the Yash Raj spy universe. In his post, Ayan referred to the opportunity as a "special movie," which he eagerly anticipates directing, learning, and growing from. He promised to reveal more details about the project at the appropriate time.
