Vijay Sethupathi's early life

Vijay was born on January 16, 1978, in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, India. The actor went to MGR Higher Secondary School and Little Angels mat. Hr. Sec. School. Vijay never felt enthusiastic while studying, interestingly he termed himself as a ‘below average student in his studious life.

The elder of three siblings, responsibilities made him work in various sweat-intensive jobs that paid him the bare minimum. Soon he moved to Dubai as an accountant and got married in the year of 2003.

Vijay Sethupathi's television career

In the beginning, Vijay worked in a Chennai-based theatre group as an accountant and later, he started working as a background actor in films. In most of the films till 2011, Sethupathi did not receive any lead role but that was until 2011 when Director Seenu Ramasamy identified Sethupati’s talent and offered him his first lead role in the movie ‘ThenmerkuParuvakaatru’.

The movie won three National Film Awards including the ‘Best Tamil Feature Film’ of the year. After 2012, life brought him a turning point in Sethupathi’s life and made him popular on the television screens eventually. From theatre to short films and Shows to movies, Vijay did it all and still continuing. Just today, his lead Hindi web series opposite Shahid Kapoor – ‘Farzi’ was released on the OTT platform ‘Prime India’. People are loving Vijay’s character and applaud him for his impeccable acting.
