The release of Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi's forthcoming Punjabi film Galwakdi has been repeatedly postponed. Its filming had been completed for a long time, and it was scheduled to be released on June 11, 2021, but COVID intervened, and it was postponed.
Galwakdi was originally set to be launched on December 31, 2021, but owing to theatre constraints and Corona, the crew opted to postpone the release date out again. Now, the makers have finally made their statement on the release of this much-anticipated film by uploading the official poster on Instagram.
The film which has been delayed several times will finally be released on April 8th, 2022 which is confirmed by the makers as well as the star cast of the film.
Galwakdi, which refers to "a Hug of Love," has been eagerly anticipated by fans for a long time, and the trailer's release in mid-December 2021 piqued their interest even more. The trailer for Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi's film was fantastic, and the reception to the songs that were published was equally positive.
Rabb Da Radio director Sharan Art directs the film, which is produced by Manpreet Johal, Ashu Munish Sahni, Savin Sarin, and Aniket Kawade. Galwakdi, on the other hand, is penned by Jagdeep Singh Warring, a writer noted for his wonderful prose. Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi will star in the film, which will be released by Vehli Janta Records and OmJee Star Studios.
