Will Smith and Chris Rock Slap Incident at Oscars 2022: Oscar winner Will Smith has finally broke his silence on the controversy over his assault on Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022.
Will Smith faced major backlash on Twitter over the incident that even tarnished his public image on social media.
In the meanwhile, Will Smith took to his Instagram and shared an emotional video in which he explained why he didn't apologise to Chris Rock after taking the best actor award in his hand.
Notably, Will's performance in 'King Richard' made him bag the Best Actor award at Oscars 2022. However, the slap incident with Chris Rock at Oscars 2022 occurred right before Will Smith was given the award.
Will slapped Chris for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's short haircut.

"I was fogged out by that point," Smith said, explaining why it took so long to offer Rock an apology. "It's all fuzzy. I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk. And when he is, he will reach out," Will Smith said in the apology video.
He expressed his guilt, calling them "unacceptable" and said that he reacted violently as Rock's joke alluded to Pinkett Smith's hair loss due to alopecia.
