Shiv Kumar Subramaniam death: '2 states' actor and screenwriter Shiv Kumar Subramaniam on Sunday night passed away. His funeral will be held in Mumbai on Monday.
The artiste was working in the film industry for over three decades. Shiv Kumar Subramaniam was part of several Bollywood films, including Rs 100-crore hit '2 States' in 2014.
He had played the role of Alia Bhatt's father in the romantic comedy which was loved by the audience. He was also one of the proclaimed writers, who wrote Parinda.
Meanwhile, tributes started pouring in for Shiv Kumar Subramaniam post his death. Mukesh Chhabra, director Ashoke Pandit and actor Gulshan Devaiah among others paid tribute to the Bollywood actor on Twitter. Chabbra wrote 'RIP', while Pandit tweeted that he was 'extremely shocked and pained'.
"Extremely shocked and pained to know about the tragic demise of our dear friend, a great actor and a brilliant human being Shiv Subramaniam. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Divya. May God give you enough energy to face this tragedy. ॐ शान्ति !" wrote Ashok Pandit.
"With profound and heartfelt grief, we wish to inform you of the passing of one of the most dignified and noble souls to inhabit human form - our dearest Shiv Subramanian. Incredibly talented, he was much loved and revered personally, as well as professionally," Gulshan said in a statement.
Reportedly, Shiv had recently lost his 15-year-old son, two months ago, due to a tumour.
