20 years of glorifying movies: Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan' and Sunny Deol's 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'!
We often hear film industry people saying, "If Gadar and Lagaan can do well on the same day, two films can easily co-exist on the same day."
Aamir Khan's Lagaan and Sunny Deol's Gadar created history and today the industry celebrates 20 years of 'Lagaan' and 'Gadar'.

Both the films released on the same date and managed to hit the box office by setting extreme records then. talking about Lagaan Amir Khan said in a statement, "Lagaan was, is, and continues to be, an amazing journey for me. It has been a journey in which I have met exciting new people, made new friends, started relationships that have lasted over 2 decades, shared so much with these wonderful people, learnt so much, experienced so many emotions, experienced so much."

Sunny Deol while sharing a video on his Instagram wrote about Gadar," We made a film, you made it an event! #20yearsofGadar, I express my gratitude to everyone who made our film historic."
Lagaan is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker whereas Gadar is directed by Anil Sharma.
Over the years, we have seen many clashes between two films, but no film has created the buzz that was caused by Aamir Khan's Lagaan and Sunny Deol's Gadar.

Lagaan was the film that showcased the light on the 'Lagaan' system in a small village whose inhabitants, burdened by high taxes, and several years of drought, find themselves in an extraordinary situation as an arrogant British army officer challenges them to a game of cricket as a wager to avoid paying the taxes they owe.

Whereas, the story of Sunny Deol's Gadar starred Amisha Patel, Amrish Puri, and revolves around how a Sikh guy falls in love with a Muslim girl and marries him.
