In the meanwhile, he visited the Golden Temple in Punjab's Amritsar with his co-star Mona Singh, who is essaying the role of his mother in the film. Meanwhile, they were surrounded by the people who were present there. Earlier, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' star cast, including Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh, paid tribute to Indian war veterans at the National Combat Memorial in Delhi. On being asked about how he persuaded Shah Rukh Khan to appear in a cameo, Aamir said, that Shah Rukh was a buddy to him and that he told him that he wanted someone who can symbolise what Elvis (Presley) represented in America. The film is all set to release on August 11 and it has a major clash with Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Raksha Bandhan'.
