Although Aamir Khan's most anticipated movie 'Laal Singh Chaddha' failed to leave an impact at the box office in India, the film has been doing great in overseas.

Helmed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni, the film is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood iconic movie 'Forrest Gump'. The film features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in lead roles.

For a second, let's forget about the Indian box office. 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is doing exceptionally well in the overseas markets. Aamir Khan-starrer has managed to garner USD 7.5 million [Rs. 59.89 cr.] at the closure of the second weekend.

The film surpassed Alia Bhatt's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' [7.47 mil. USD], Kartik Aaryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' [5.88 mil. USD] and Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' [5.7 mil. USD]. The film has become the highest overseas grosser of 2022.

Aamir Khan-starrer 'Laal Singh Chaddha' faced a lot of criticism on social media in India. Simultaneously, the film also bagged praises from the moviegoers.

It is unfortunate that the film suffered a huge loss at the Indian box office amid the calls for a boycott of the film.
