Credited for putting Punjabi culture and cinema on a global front with his last film ‘The Black Prince’, director Kavi Raz is all set with his second international venture. Barefoot Warriors, as the title suggests, is the name of his second Hollywood film which will be an amalgamation of reality as well as fiction. As per Kavi, the story will revolve around 1948 and 1950 Olympics when Indian Football team’s participation was declined as they were playing barefoot.
Hollywood heartthrob Sean Faris, known for films like ‘Never Back Down’, will be playing one of the lead roles in the film whereas Rajpal Yadav, Yograj Singh and Mukul Dev will be will be playing other important roles.
Talking to PTC Punjabi, film’s director Kavi Raz said that even though film will be primarily made in English, Barefoot Warriors will be dubbed in Punjabi and Hindi as well. Kavi Raz’s last film ‘The Black prince’, which starred Satinder Sartaj in the lead role, was a huge success as well.
