The "Panama Papers" case involves millions of papers that were stolen and published to the public in 2016. The case centers on charges that the world's wealthy and influential established offshore accounts or shell businesses avoid paying taxes. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists reviewed and published leaked financial information of politicians, business people, and celebrities around the world.

On April 3, 2016, the 40-year data of Mosaic Fonseca, a law company based in Panama, a country known as a Tax Haven, was leaked. It reveals how wealthy and powerful people all across the world are putting their money into offshore businesses to avoid paying taxes.
