All you need to know about Anupam Tripathi who played Javed Ali in Squid Game

The Korean show Squid Game is without a doubt the most popular OTT web series on Netflix right now. It's all that netizens have been talking about since it began streaming on the platform. The show's popularity has skyrocketed, and all of the actors who have appeared in it have become household names not only in South Korea, but around the world.

An actor of Indian descent has played a pivotal role in the ensemble cast. Anupam Tripathi is his name. In the series, he portrays Javed Ali, a Pakistani migrant worker. Here are some lesser known facts about this talented actor.

Anupam Tripathi, was born in Delhi, who has worked in the national capital's theatre from 2006 to 2010.

In 2010, he relocated to South Korea. He aspired to study at the National School of Drama. He did, however, join the undergraduate programme at Korea National University of Arts after winning a scholarship there. He stayed in South Korea after finishing his course to try his luck in Korean showbiz.

Anupam has previously featured many Korean TV shows and films prior to Squid Game. He made his acting debut in the Korean film Ode to My Father in 2014. Other projects include the popular Korean series Descendants of the Sun and Hospital Playlist, as well as the 2021 film Space Sweepers.

"We expected it to be well received, but when it turned into a phenomenon and sensation, it was unexpected – I wasn't prepared," the actor explained.
