Amitabh Bachchan becomes Goodwill Ambassador of 'Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot'
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently became the 'Goodwill Ambassador' of the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund (AFBCWF) website, 'Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot'. He has been working for a number of social causes.
Amitabh Bachchan is one of the finest actors in Indian cinema and his persona enthralls people to follow him. In the meanwhile, 'Big B' has supported a lot of social causes, including sanitation, vaccinations, and even tourism.

Amitabh Bachchan was appointed as the brand ambassador for the Polio Eradication Campaign in 2002 and the actor reportedly did not charge any money for it.

In 2014, Amitabh was named the UN Ambassador for the Girl Child. He supported UNICEF's efforts towards issues like the 'Unite for Children' and 'Unite Against AIDS campaign'.
In 2017, 'Big B' was appointed as a goodwill ambassador for hepatitis in the South-East Asia region by WHO. He has also been spreading awareness about the disease.
The megastar has also been raising its voice for PETA and even helped PETA India to release Sunder, a 14-year-old elephant who was beaten and chained in Maharashtra's Kolhapur.

India's 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan' campaign was aimed to keep the roads, streets, and infrastructure of the country clean. Amitabh has been supporting PM Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' campaign and he was also appointed as the ambassador of 'Banega Swasth India' campaign.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan has also been appointed as Goodwill Ambassador of 'Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot' website which will be launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
