'Jersey' gets postponed again; Shahid Kapoor avoids clash with 'KGF Chapter 2', 'Beast'

Jersey new release date: It's a blockbuster month and the most anticipated film 'KGF Chapter 2' is set to release on April 14. As expected, no other film is trying to clash with Yash-starrer, and hence, Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur-starrer Jersey's release date has been postponed for the fifth time.

After being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Jersey's release date has been postponed yet again and this time not due to Covid-19 but to avoid the clash with Yash-starrer 'KGF Chapter 2'.

Jersey's new release date

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur-starrer will now be released on April 22, 2022. While giving the information, Film trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "BREAKING NEWS... #Jersey POSTPONED by one week... Will arrive in *cinemas* on 22 April 2022... The stakeholders arrived at the decision late last night."

KGF Chapter 2's dominance

The film hasn't been released yet and it is already dominating the box office with its whopping collection in advance booking of the film. Even the chartbuster film 'RRR' is likely to see the Yash-starrer film breaking its records.

As per the report, the tickets for the KGF Chapter 2 Hindi version were sold out, within 12 hours of its advance booking. The film has earned a total gross of Rs 3.35 crore in just 12 hours.
