Yo Yo Honey Singh reportedly reacts to an old Badshah clip after Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent 2 bonus episode went viral, bringing their past feud and Mafia Mundeer history back into focus.
Samay Raina and Badshah’s latest episode of India’s Got Latent 2 has sparked fresh interest online, but this time, the conversation has moved beyond the show. The second bonus episode, released on August 10, 2026, for YouTube channel members, featured Badshah along with Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Sourav Joshi and Rajat Sood.
During the episode, Samay Raina asked Badshah about the story behind his stage name. The rapper said that he had chosen the name himself. However, the conversation soon reminded viewers of an old clip in which Badshah had shared a different version of the story involving his former collaborator, Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Badshah’s Old Clip Resurfaces OnlineA short clip from the episode, in which Samay asks Badshah about his name, started circulating on Instagram. Soon after, social media users also brought back an older interview of Badshah.
In that old footage, Badshah had explained how he got the name and said, “Honey told me, ‘You live like a Badshah.' He said I use my phone whenever I want and get up whenever I feel like. So that's how Badshah was decided.”
The old comment quickly caught attention because of the long and complicated history between the two rappers.
Honey Singh’s Reaction Goes ViralAfter the old clip began making rounds online, Honey Singh reacted to it on social media. He shared the clip on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Meri nalayak aulaad,” which translates to “My bad/worthless child.”
His cheeky reaction immediately became a talking point among fans, bringing their past association back into the spotlight.
Honey Singh and Badshah’s Past FeudHoney Singh and Badshah were once members of the music group Mafia Mundeer. The group also included Raftaar, Ikka and Lil Golu. The rappers worked together during an important phase of the Indian hip-hop scene before eventually going their separate ways.
Their professional relationship later became strained, with disagreements surrounding several songs and questions over credits for lyrics, music and beats.
One of the biggest disputes involved the popular song “Brown Rang”. Badshah has said he wrote the lyrics, while Honey Singh composed the beats. The credit issue resurfaced in July 2025 when Badshah commented “Credits” on a social media post related to Honey Singh.
An Old Story, A New Viral MomentWhile the latest moment began with a light question on India’s Got Latent 2, the resurfaced clip has once again reminded fans of the history between Honey Singh and Badshah. Honey Singh’s latest comment has added another cheeky moment to their long-running story, giving social media plenty to discuss.
