Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently interacted with fans during an Instagram Live session, where he spoke about his upcoming AURA World Tour in India and also shared some personal thoughts about films and music. While announcing the Ahmedabad concert details, Diljit opened up about why he chooses to work in only a limited number of films. He also recalled an emotional moment involving legendary qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Diljit Dosanjh Announces Ahmedabad Concert DateDiljit confirmed that his AURA World Tour will begin its India leg with a major concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 21, 2026.
The concert will take place from 7 PM onwards, giving fans a chance to experience Diljit live on one of the biggest stages in the country. The announcement comes after his historic performance at Wembley Stadium in London.
The ticket booking details have also been announced. The pre-sale will begin on September 28, 2026, at 12 PM IST, exclusively for RuPay Credit Cardholders. The general sale will then open on October 1, 2026, from 2 PM IST onwards. Tickets will be available through BookMyShow.
Why Does Diljit Choose Only A Few Films?During his Instagram Live, Diljit also explained why audiences do not see him in a large number of films every year.
The actor-singer said that he carefully chooses the projects he wants to be part of. Instead of taking up every film opportunity, he prefers stories that genuinely connect with him.
For Diljit, a film is not simply about being another project in his career. He looks for stories that have something meaningful to say and that he can connect with as an artist.

Diljit then shared a deeply personal experience involving Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He recalled that while he was in Milan preparing for a show, he was doing yoga and listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's qawwali “Man Atkeya Beparwah De Naal.”
As specific lines from the qawwali played “Qazi mulla matti dinde, khare siyane raah dasinde...” Diljit became deeply emotional. He revealed that the words affected him so strongly that he could not control his tears.
Diljit said he cried alone for around five to seven minutes. For him, the moment showed the power of poetry and music and how deeply true art can affect a person.
