As a result of this, Bollywood filmmakers are sharing official statements to delay the film's release date. The release of Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' was delayed first, and then RRR.  Now, Akshay Kumar's starrer 'Prithviraj,' has also been postponed.

The movie was supposed to come out on January 21, 2022, however, it was pushed back. As per the reports, Prithviraj is one of the most awaited films which can draw a lot of audience to the movie theaters and in such a difficult situation, it would be wrong to gather huge public. Thus, the makers have decided to shift the release date.
