Bollywood actor R Madhavan and famous author Chetan Bhagat had a War of Words on Twitter recently. Although, the spat between the two is supposed to be a publicity stunt for the upcoming Netflix show Decoupled which was launched earlier this week.

In the forthcoming show, Madhavan plays India's second most popular author, and Chetan plays himself in the same. In the show, they are always competing against one another.
Madhavan and Chetan began teasing one other when the actor said that the film 3 Idiots was better than the author's novel Five Point Someone. The ruse revolved around the argument between movies and books. In 2009, Rajkumar Hirani directed 3 Idiots, which was a box office success. Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi both played pivotal roles in the coming-of-age comedic drama. The movie was a hit, winning three National Film Awards, including Best Popular Film.

In a tweet, Madhavan stated that he favors movies. "Hey, Chetan… My bias is movies > books"
"Have you ever heard anyone ever say the movie is better than the book?” the author responded. The conversation became more animated as the two continued to take jabs at each other, all in good fun, of course.
