Harjinder Singh announced as India's Chef De Mission for Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022 by IOA
Harjinder Singh, general secretary of the Indian Ice Hockey Association, was named as Chef De Mission for the Indian team at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Monday.
Harjinder Singh earlier has also served as India's mission chief at the 2018 Winter Olympics, which were held in Pyongyang, South Korea.

After Harjinder's appointment, IOA President Narinder Batra shared two images and congratulated Harjinder for the same. The Beijing Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to February 20.

The US, UK, Australia, Lithuania, and Canada have chosen to boycott the Beijing Winter Olympics due to China's alleged human rights violations.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he will attend the Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing as a gesture of support. So far, Arif Khan of Kashmir has qualified for the forthcoming games as the only Indian player in the Winter Olympic Beijing 2022.
