The makers of the film managed to generate huge buzz with the release of the interesting trailer. The film is centred on the life of an undercover cop played by Ayushmann, who is on a mission to bring peace in India's northeastern region.

Not only that, but Ayushmann's socio-political drama 'Anek' also highlights the significance of trying to stop people from defining others based on their language, particularly in a country where language and culture change every few kilometres.

In addition to Ayushmann Khurana, Nagaland model Andrea Kevichusa makes her acting debut in the film. Anubhav Sinha has written and directed the film Anek, which is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, and Anubhav Sinha and bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar under the label T-Series and Benaras Team Work.
