Bharti Singh, in the viral video, said that “several people are having beard and moustache; you drink milk and put some of the beards in your mouth, it will taste like Seviyaan [dessert]."

She also said that men have lice in their beards. Soon after the video went viral on social media, a lot of people from Punjab criticised Bharti Singh for disrespecting the beard that Sikh men maintain as part of their religious belief.
