Antim: 'Wearing the turban and acting as a sardar is..' says Salman Khan for playing 'Sikh' cop for the first time
Salman Khan who has been receiving positive feedback for the latest release 'Antim: The Final Truth' reveals that playing a 'Sardar Cop' is a huge responsibility.
Yes, Salman Khan for the very first time in the history of his film career donned the character of a 'Sardar' in his most recent film 'Antim'. The actor did have played 'cop' in his previous films but in Antim; Salman for the first time was seen in a turban look.

While in an interview prior to the film release, Salman when asked about playing a 'Sardar cop' stated, "Wearing the turban and acting as a sardar (cop) is a huge responsibility. You must keep in mind that there is a culture and a certain humility associated with it. "This character is nothing like the cop roles I've previously played."

Salman Khan believes that every film, knowingly or unknowingly, sends out a message, and he prefers to send out positive ones. Antim has also done the same.
In the film, Salman Khan is seen playing the character of Rajveer who appears fearless as a Sikh cop. Aayush Sharma is seen as the antagonist in the film. Apart from these two spectacular actors, the movie also stars Mahima Makwana who marked her Bollywood debut with the film.

Meanwhile, when director Mahesh Manjerkar was asked about how Salman's cop character was finalized he said that when he explained the plot to Salman, he was the only one to suggest playing 'Sardar cop' in Antim.
