Actress Avika Gor, who starred in the popular TV drama Balika Vadhu as the lead character, delivered a heartfelt message to actress Surekha Sikri, who died on Friday. Avika Gor played the young Anandi for two years in Balika Vadhu, which aired from 2008 to 2016.Avika Gor was only 11 years old when the show first aired. Meanwhile, Surekha Sikri has been cast in the show as "Dadisaa," a matriarchal disciplinarian. Avika Gor, now 24, penned an emotional send-off note to Surekha Sikri on the day of her death. Sharing a picture Avika wrote, "It was always difficult to match her energy levels during the scenes but she made sure I was comfortable every time I was around her & that taught me to be grounded. I have always wanted to be like her.. hardworking.. grounded.. kind❤️. She has truly left us a legacy to follow. Dadisaa… I will always love you, my guardian angel. Surekha Sikri, 75, died on Friday in Mumbai after having a heart arrest. Surekha Sikri was a three-time National Award-winning actress who was well-known for her work in the theatre. Surekha Sikri has also been featured in series such as Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Maa Exchange, and Saat Phere, in addition to Balika Vadhu.
