‘Babumoshai…’ One of the most iconic films of the Bollywood industry, Anand, starring Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan is all set to get a remake by the original producer, N.C. Sippy’s grandson Sameer Raj Sippy in association with Producer Vikram Khakhar.
Currently, the film is being scripted and the makers are yet to finalise the director for the remake of the iconic drama.
Meanwhile, the Producer Vikram Khakhar said that instead of scouting for stories, internationally or regionally, it will be easy to find invaluable gems by digging into the indigenous classics. Taking Anand in the post-Covid-19 era will enhance the story of Anand, he added.
Excited about the remake of Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Anand’, the Producer Sameer Raj Sippy said that he feels that stories like these need to be narrated to the new generation. Adding, he said that “Keeping in mind the sensibilities of the original film and the emotions, I felt the current generation needs to be retold the many stories that are so relevant today and especially when there is a great appetite for good content.”
Produced by Sameer Raj Sippy and Vikram Khakhar, the film’s announcement has already created a buzz around the corner.
Meanwhile, other details about the film are under wraps. The remake will definitely turn into blockbuster impressing millions of viewers, believe the producers of the film.
