The trailer of the much-awaited film 'Badhaai Do' starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao has been released. The film is all about fun-laughter and family drama that revolves around two LGBTQ couples played by Bhumi and Rajkummar Rao respectively.
Rajkummar and Bhumi's roles are obliged to adapt to cultural norms in their film, which is done in an amusing style. Rajkummar plays Shardul, a cop, while Bhumi plays Sumi, a physical education teacher. When their paths meet, they decide to enter a marriage of convenience for the sake of their families. When Sumi's girlfriend enters the picture, hilarity unfolds.
While sharing the trailer Bhumi wrote, "It’s one of those films, that came our way, touched our hearts in ways we can’t explain. Some journeys are meant to be remembered forever.
Ab aap dekho trailer aur hume #BadhaaiDo ❤️🌈🎉
#BadhaaiDoInTheatres on the 11th of February"
Not only is this family drama full of laughs and tears, but it also tackles a socially significant topic, as we see in the trailer. Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Chum Darang, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey, and Shashi Bhushan are among the other key actors who appear in Badhaai Do.
Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar posted the film's poster ahead of the trailer's release. They can be seen trying to keep a secret from each other, dressed up in their wedding outfits over their professional uniforms of a cop and a PT teacher, respectively.
Helmed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, the film will be released on February 11th.
