Bengali actor Abhishek Chatterjee dies; Mamata Banerjee offers condolence
Abhishek Chatterjee death: The prominent Bengali actor, Abhishek Chatterjee, died at the age of 57 on Thursday (March 24). West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee offered condolences for his sudden demise.
Although Abhishek Chatterjee was not well for some time yet the exact reason for his death is still unknown. As of now, there have been no official details about his last rites.

As per reports, Abhishek fell sick on Wednesday during the shoot of a reality show and he passed away on Thursday.

West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter and wrote, "Sad to know of the untimely demise of our young actor Abhishek Chatterjee. Abhishek was talented and versatile in his performances, and we shall miss him. It is a great loss for TV serials and our film industry. My condolences to his family and friends."

Actor Rituparna Sengupta also shared condolences. She wrote: "Deeply saddened by the demise of our beloved actor Abhishek Chatterjee... He will be remembered for his immense contribution to Bengali cinema... Have some of my most significant films and greatest hits with him... May his soul rest in peace...."

Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim wrote: "Deeply pained by the untimely demise of talented & young actor of our Bengal film industry Abhishek Chatterjee. With a strong personality both on-screen and off it, he will be missed by us and his countless admirers and followers. My deepest condolences. May his soul Rest in Peace."
