Abhishek Bachchan has expressed interest in taking over for Saswata Chatterjee in his upcoming film Bob Biswas. Saswata played the character in Sujoy Ghosh's hugely successful thriller Kahaani, which starred Vidya Balan in the lead.

In Kahaani, Saswata Chatterjee played Bob Biswas, a contract killer who killed all those people with utmost clinical excellence, leaving no traces behind.

Bob Biswas, which Bachchan described as a "crime thriller," has turned out to be a "cool" film. Bob Biswas is a film written by Sujoy Ghosh and directed by his daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh about the titular character, who used to be a hired assassin but has apparently lost all memory of his past. Sujoy shared the concept of the film with Abhishek while he was writing it, and Abhishek agreed to play the role before even hearing the script.

“Sujoy has created an edgy and cool world. After seeing the film, my personal opinion is that it's a really cool movie. "I believe this film will appeal to the country's youth."

While commenting on the expectation his father Amitabh Bachchan have with the film Bob Biswas, Actor Abhishek Bachchan stated that he does not want his father for 'Bob Biswas' to 'fall apart.' In a recent interview, the actor addressed his father's Instagram post. He expressed a variety of emotions, including overwhelm and panic.
