Indian entertainment realm is one of the most diversified television industy with characters that can influence your lifestyle and move you with their intricate screen presence. Recently, acing filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has outshone his marvelous creativity and royal finesse in the Netflix historical drama series, a regal ensemble, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. But what is more beautiful about Bollywood is that it has previously served some of the crucial strong female portrayals, helmed under various other directors, which indeed differs from SLB's drama made in the backdrop of pre-independent India, but the same way very crucial in their own genres. So let's travel back in time to see through some of such similar yet so different mind-boggling female characters of the Indian film industry. 

Dear Zindagi (Gauri Shinde) - 'Kaira' from Dear Zindagi features the hardship it takes while fighting depression and childhood trauma. She also shows the light the whole journey brings until the end. 

Thappad (Anubhav Sinha) - 'Amrita' from Thappad is a true resemblance of love and connection. She taught everyone that for love to exist, respect is equally important. Hence amid disrespect, she fought for herself. 

Wake Up Sid (Ayan Mukerji) - 'Aisha' from Wake Up Sid is an utter inspiration for women who are dreamers. Aisha taught girls to follow their ambitions and not to get scared while changing their lifestyles if needed. 

Queen (Vikas Bahl) - 'Rani' from Queen is a character for everyone who goes through a heartbreak. She has taught that rather than being sad for someone who doesn't care, find your own happiness. 

English Vinglish (Gauri Shinde) - 'Shashi' from English Vinglish was a character made for all the married women who are disrespected under toxic masculinity and hence one should find a way to escape for a better life. 

Kahaani (Sujoy Ghosh)  - 'Vidya' from Kahaani taught us that not every silence is one's weakness and not to underestimate a woman's caliber of attaining certain things. It revolves around a wife who goes out of her limit in search of her husband who goes missing mysteriously.
