Director Hansal Mehta lauds Kiran Rao's directorial 'Laapata Ladies' backed by Aamir Khan; Calls it a 'big hearted' film

Scam 1992 director, Hansal Mehta who has recently watched the accelerating comedy-drama, 'Laapataa Ladies', has taken over the socials to pour his praises for such a finesse-worthy film by the makers. Today on 27th April 2024, Mehta took over his X handle to share his after-views of watching the sartorial movie. His glowing review read, "Saw the very big-hearted and moving Laapata Ladies. Sometimes all that is needed is simplicity and clarity. This film is that." Moving ahead further, he referred to his expectations from the film and how it has exceeded them all. "I went in expecting more and finished with more than it apparently delivers. It is old fashioned in a good way and modern in a very invisible manner. It is deceptively simple in its treatment and humour," Mehta added.
Laapataa Ladies is a simple yet eccentric comedy-drama film that was released recently on March 2024. Directed by Kiran Rao, Produced by Aamir Khan, and co-produced by Rao herself, the film has brought a roaring tide with it's storyline.
