Don 3: FWICE withdraws Non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh

Don 3 news: The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has withdrawn the non-cooperation directive that it had issued against actor Ranveer Singh. The decision was announced on Wednesday after the actor sent a legal notice to the organization.

FCIWE withdraws Non-cooperative directive against Ranveer Singh

FWICE President BN Tiwari said the directive was removed with immediate effect following requests from major film industry bodies, including the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), the Producers Guild of India (PGI), and the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA).

Industry Bodies Help Resolve the Matter

According to BN Tiwari, the industry associations advised all parties to discuss the issue together and find a solution that would not negatively affect producers, directors, or the actor.

He stated that everyone involved should sit together and make a fair decision. Tiwari also clarified that the situation should not be seen as a victory or defeat for anyone.

Legal Notice from Ranveer Singh

FWICE confirmed that its legal department will respond to the legal notice sent by Ranveer Singh. However, the organization has chosen to withdraw the non-cooperation directive while discussions continue.

Background of the Don 3 Dispute

The dispute began after Ranveer Singh reportedly exited Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Don 3. Following this, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and his producing partner Ritesh Sidhwani filed a complaint with the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA).

The matter was later referred to FWICE, which issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh on May 25.

Ranveer Singh’s Response

Last week, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson released a statement addressing the controversy. The statement said that the actor has great respect for the film industry and everyone connected with the Don franchise.

It also mentioned that Ranveer chose to remain silent during the dispute because he believes professional matters and personal relationships should be handled with dignity, maturity, and mutual respect.

What Happens Next?

With the directive now withdrawn, industry bodies are expected to hold discussions with all concerned parties. The aim is to reach a solution that protects the interests of both the filmmakers and Ranveer Singh, while avoiding further conflict.
