The Mumbai Crime Branch is currently delving into the shooting incident that took place outside the residence of Bollywood megastar Salman Khan. This episode has garnered significant attention, not only due to the involvement of a high-profile figure but also because of its implications on public safety and security. In a recent turn of events, the Crime Branch has made substantial progress by recovering a firearm believed to have been used by the assailants, along with additional crucial evidence.

Breakthrough in Investigation:

The meticulous efforts of the Mumbai Crime Branch have culminated in a noteworthy breakthrough in the investigation. A firearm, suspected to have been utilized in the shooting, was retrieved from the Tapi River in Surat, Gujarat. Accompanying this discovery were three magazines, further corroborating the seriousness of the situation. Following an exhaustive two-day search operation, both firearms involved in the incident were successfully apprehended by the authorities.

In a recent development, one of the firearms, along with a cache of live cartridges, was unearthed by the Crime Branch on the preceding day. Meanwhile, efforts to locate the second firearm were still underway. Modus Operandi and Confessions:

According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the assailants were instructed to discharge ten rounds during the incident. Subsequent interrogation revealed that the suspects confessed to disposing of one firearm in the Tapi River following the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence. The authorities escorted one of the accused, Vikki Gupta, to the location where he purportedly discarded the weapon. Additional charges may be levied by the police as the investigation progresses.
