In a recent development, one of the firearms, along with a cache of live cartridges, was unearthed by the Crime Branch on the preceding day. Meanwhile, efforts to locate the second firearm were still underway. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the assailants were instructed to discharge ten rounds during the incident. Subsequent interrogation revealed that the suspects confessed to disposing of one firearm in the Tapi River following the shooting outside Salman Khan's residence. The authorities escorted one of the accused, Vikki Gupta, to the location where he purportedly discarded the weapon. Additional charges may be levied by the police as the investigation progresses.
