Rewinding Biopics 2023; Mission Raniganj, Pippa and Sam Bahadur, Here is the list of Bollywood's best biographical dramas!

Overall, the year 2023 had been one of the most happening year for the movie industry, specially Bollywood. Bringing masterpieces like Mission Raniganj, Pippa, Tarla and recently released Sam Bahadur, the Hindi movie industry has added another feather to it's glitzy hat and historical milestone for the unabashed genre of biographical dramas. In short, In 2023 Bollywood has given some of the best biopics just like every other year. While December is swinging in it's last half and so does the year, lets rewind to the past months and some of the Industry's most acclaimed biopics all over the world. 

Tarla: Tarla is based on Huma's eponymous role of a famous chef who faces confusion in life searching her dream and hobbies. A passionate woman who initially faces difficulties searching her passion becomes a professional chef eventually. From a non-professional cook to a professional chef the movie ensembles late Tarla Dalal's journey. From starting her cooking classes to hosting her own television shows. The movie was released in July 7, 2023 on OTT platform ZEE 5. 

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway: Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway's storyline is based on a true story, an Indian immigrant couple whose children were taken away by the Norwegian Welfare Services under custody in the year of 2011. Portraying the character of a helpless ayet strong mother, rani Mukerji aces the the leading role into the movie and recieved global recognition for the same. Released in 17th March, 2023. 

Mission Raniganj:  Akshay Kumar in 'Mission Raniganj' portrays the role of a mining engineer who delves into a rescue mission to save 65 miners trapped in a flooded coal mine. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, the Akshay Kumar starrer has grabbed positive acclamation all over the world. The plot is based on a real life hero of the late 80's, Jaswant Singh who has rescued the trapped miners at the Raniganj coalfields in 1989. 

Pippa: Pippa is a recently released biographical drama directed by Raja Krishna Menon. Starring Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur, the movie is based on the life of Captain Balram Singh Mehta of India's 45 Cavalry regiment who along with his siblings, fought with sheer daring in the eastern front during the Indo-Pak War of 1971. 

Sam Bahadur: Directed by Meghna Gulzar, 'Sam Bahadur' is a brand new Bollywood biopic drama based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, the first Indian field marshal. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, under the banner of RSVP Movies, the intense drama stars Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh in the leading roles. Apart from the leading roles, the movie also features  Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in some pivotal roles.
