Salaar's box office declination

While fans have accepted the OTT release of Salaar quite impeccably and the response seemed quite astonishing, the box office collection on it's 5th weekend dwindled in numbers. Speaking in a nutshell, the Prashanth Neel directorial 'Salaar' saw a considerable drop in the box office after it's OTT release. As per the reports, the Prabhas movie only garnered around Rs. 35 lakh including both Saturday and Sunday which is the most sustantial declination in the commercial collection ever since it's release in December. While Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' has able to maintain it's lead above 'Salaar' and collected Rs. 80 lakhs in the same weekend.

Salaar and Dunki Box Office Collection

Infact trade reports suggests that the only reason Dunki is accessing it's position above the action thriller is due to it's delayed OTT launch, which is interestingly prompting the SRK fans to head to the theatres instead of witnessing the heartthrob from the comfort of their couches. Salaar, after finishing off with 31 days in the theatrical windows, the film has accumulated Rs. 405 crores in India and Rs. 610 crore nglobally, wherein it has made Rs. 152.30 crore by the Hindi dubbed version alone. Meanwhile Dunki with a one day benefit of release ahead Salaar has made Rs. 226.50 crore and earned approximately Rs. 446 crores gross.
