See Pictures: Taapsee Pannu Travels To Paris To Celebrate Her Birthday
Actor Taapsee Pannu is celebrating her 37th birthday today. To mark the occasion, she has travelled to Paris with her sister, Shagun Pannu, to attend the 2024 Olympics and spend her special day with her husband, Indian badminton coach Mathias Boe.
Taapsee has been seen cheering for the Indian badminton duo Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who are mentored by her husband for the 2024 Olympics. The actress recently married her long-time boyfriend, Mathias Boe, and is attending the games to support not only her husband but also the entire Indian contingent.
Regarding her attendance at the Olympics, Taapsee described it as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." She explained, “I don’t think I can go there as an athlete. I first met Mathias when he had already returned from the Olympics after winning his medal (in 2012). The next Olympics he participated in as an athlete, I didn’t want to attend because I get stressed watching him play.” Taapsee, who married the Danish player this year, feels that this is the perfect year to attend the games since Mathias is now associated with India as a coach. She added, “Now that he is a coach for our country’s team, and Satvik and Chirag are probably one of the best contenders to bring home an Olympic medal, I feel more motivated and excited to attend this one and cheer for them. Also, it falls around my birthday (August 1), so I guess these are enough and more reasons for me to be at the Olympics.”
Taapsee arrived in Paris on July 29 and plans to celebrate her birthday in the city of love. When asked about her birthday plans, she revealed, “That day, the team plays the quarter-finals for men’s doubles in badminton. I hope the celebration happens with a victory there. That will be the best birthday gift.”
On the work front, Taapsee will next be seen in the Netflix release “Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba,” starring Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal, which will be released on August 9, and in “Khel Khel Mein,” which will also be released later this month. In her personal life, Taapsee has bought a home with her husband in Denmark.
