The Railway Men: R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon and other Announce Release date of Much awaited series

The creators of 'The Railway Men,' a series featuring renowned actors R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma, and Babil Khan, have revealed the release date of the series.

Accompanying the poster was a caption that read, "The story of humanity's fight in the midst of a tragedy. #TheRailwayMen - a four-episode series inspired by true stories arrives November 18, only on Netflix!"

This four-episode series marks the directorial debut of Shiv Rawail, a talented filmmaker from YRF (Yash Raj Films). Set against the backdrop of the Bhopal Gas Leak, considered the world's worst industrial disaster, 'The Railway Men' draws inspiration from real-life events. It narrates a tale of bravery and pays homage to the spirit of humanity. The series offers a touching tale of the unsung heroes – the dedicated railway employees of India who went above and beyond their call of duty to rescue countless innocent citizens trapped in a city in distress.

The leading roles in the series are played by R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma, and Babil Khan, all of whom bring their talent and dedication to this important project.

On the fateful night of December 2, 1984, a pesticide factory owned by the American Union Carbide Corporation released a deadly gas called methyl isocyanate. This catastrophe resulted in the poisoning of over half a million people, with an official death toll surpassing 5,000.

Even decades later, thousands of survivors, as well as their children and grandchildren, continue to grapple with severe health issues, including cancer, blindness, respiratory problems, compromised immune systems, and neurological disorders caused by the gas leak.

'The Railway Men' is set to premiere on Netflix on November 18.
