Dhurandhar 2 OTT release: Ever since its release in theatres, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has dominated the box office like few Hindi films ever have. Directed by Aditya Dhar and led by a power-packed performance from Ranveer Singh, the spy thriller quickly turned into a nationwide craze.
Audiences flocked to theatres in huge numbers, and the film continued to draw crowds week after week. From packed cinema halls to social media discussions, the action spectacle became more than just a movie release it became a cultural event.

The film shattered several records within days of release. It registered the biggest opening ever for a Bollywood film and went on to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India. What truly stunned the industry was its massive domestic collection. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge became the first Hindi film to cross the ₹1000 crore net mark in India. Worldwide, the film collected nearly ₹1800 crore, making it the second-highest-grossing Indian film ever.
Together, both films in the franchise have reportedly crossed ₹3100 crore globally, proving that the Dhurandhar universe has become one of Bollywood’s biggest cinematic brands.
The film follows Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy operating deep inside Karachi. The gripping action, emotional twists, and large-scale visuals impressed audiences across all age groups.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in important roles. Fans especially praised the climax sequence featuring the remixed version of the iconic song Tirchi Topiwale, recreated as Rang De Laal by Shashwat Sachdev.
Interestingly, the film’s OTT timeline came to light during an ongoing legal case linked to the climax song. Filmmaker Rajiv Rai, who originally used Tirchi Topiwale in Tridev, approached the court alleging unauthorized use of the song in the sequel.
During the Delhi High Court hearing, the producers reportedly informed the court that the film would not arrive on OTT platforms before mid-May. This also matches the standard eight-to-ten-week theatrical window followed by major Bollywood releases. The film completes eight weeks in theatres on May 14, building strong expectations around its digital premiere.
While an official announcement is still awaited, industry reports and court proceedings strongly suggest that Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge will begin streaming from mid-May 2026. Unlike the first film, which premiered on Netflix after its theatrical run, the sequel is expected to stream on JioHotstar.
So, viewers who missed the theatrical experience may finally be able to watch the blockbuster spy thriller from the comfort of their homes very soon.
