Why Ajay Devgn and Jahnvi Kapoor's Films Are Struggling to Attract Audiences?

As Friday approaches, cinema enthusiasts are once again gearing up for the latest movie releases, with two high-profile films making their debut this week. Ajay Devgn and Tabu star in "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha," while Jahnvi Kapoor headlines "Uljh." Despite the star-studded casts, there are mounting concerns about the films' prospects at the box office. The advance booking figures for both movies suggest potential trouble ahead.

Advance Booking Figures Indicate Possible Trouble

The anticipation surrounding "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha," directed by Neeraj Pandey and set to release on August 2, has been palpable. With its high-profile cast and significant promotional push, the film has attracted considerable attention. However, the initial advance booking figures have been underwhelming. Reports indicate that the film might be poised for a disappointing debut at the Indian box office.

As of Thursday morning, "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha" has sold fewer than 1,000 tickets across the major national cinema chains – PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. This performance falls short when compared to Akshay Kumar’s "Sarphira," which was released on July 12 and has seen more robust advance bookings. Despite efforts by the filmmakers to boost sales through ticket discounts, there has been minimal impact. This stagnation in ticket sales raises concerns about the film’s first-day collections and suggests that it may struggle to make a significant impact at the box office.

‘Uljh’ Faces Even Greater Challenges

The second film of the week, "Uljh," starring Jahnvi Kapoor, is facing an even steeper uphill battle. The thriller has recorded fewer than 750 ticket sales in the top three national chains, an alarming figure for a film of its scale. The dismal advance bookings could severely impact the film’s opening performance, with projections suggesting that it may struggle to cross the one crore mark. The early numbers indicate a troubling outlook for "Uljh," and if the trend continues, it may face a disastrous debut.
