'Brahmastra,' starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, is finally ready to enter theatres after five years of filming. Brahmastra: Part One: The Beginning, is Ayan Mukerji's long-awaited magnum opus. The film's production, which began while Ayan was filming Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, has finally wrapped up after 5 years, according to the director.
Ayan wrote a heartfelt sharing his experience filming Brahmastra. Confirming the completion of the film’s shoot, Ayan also shared pictures of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor from their shoot schedule in Varanasi along with the release date of the film.
The release of Brahmastra has been pushed back for a long time. Alia and Ranbir's debut film together was supposed to be released in 2019, however, it has been postponed since then. Their preparations were already behind schedule due to the pandemic.
The motion poster for Ranbir's role in the film was published in December. In the film, he portrays Shiva. He's clutching a Trishul and encircled by fire in the poster. Alia's character Isha, on the other hand, had a poster issued earlier this month on her birthday.
In addition to Alia and Ranbir, the film features veteran Amitabh Bachchan, South megastar Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures, will be released in 5 Indian languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada – on September 9, 2022.
