BTS tearfully announces hiatus to focus on solo projects; promises to comeback

BTS announces hiatus: BTS, a popular South Korean boy band, announced on Tuesday that they will be taking a long vacation and focusing on their separate projects. BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have announced that they will be on hiatus indefinite period.

Bangtan, who was visibly touched, also stated that they are taking this time apart in order to return stronger. "BTS is not disbanding," rapper Suga stated.

RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook addressed the matter 20 minutes into their dinner. As Suga stated, "We're taking a hiatus right now. Should we discuss why we aren't participating in the FESTA or producing content?" When asked about the members' next moves, RM stated that they are "lost as a group." "I began music and became BTS because I had a message for the world," he explained. However, as the pandemic spread and things began to change, RM realised, ""There has been a significant shift in the group."

BTS leader RM stated that he believed the group was losing direction and that he had lost 'hold' of the group after the release of Dynamite in 2020, adding that he didn't know what kind of group they were anymore.

The K-Pop artists revealed the news at their annual Festa dinner, which also marked the group's 10-year anniversary. The group members joked, drank, and reminisced about their voyage during the live stream, which began on a light note.

Fans were taken aback when the members of the band hinted at taking a break from the band.

At the end of the evening, the members took turns sharing a goodbye note. Despite being the youngest member, Jungkook received a lot of praise from his hyungs for concisely expressing their message: "I promise we will return someday, more mature than now." Till then, we respectfully want your blessing."

BTS took a month off in 2019. At the end of 2021, they took a "long period of rest." This will be the band's third break since their debut in 2013.
