Ever since the announcement of Ranbir Kapoor starrer movie 'Animal', it started serving whopping excitement among the Bollywood fanatics. Speaking in a nutshell, 'Animal' is one of the most anticipated movie of the year. As the movie is all set to be released on 1st December 2023, people are eagerly excited to delve into the world of crime, intense drama and action helmed by the Bollywood's one of the acing director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Just ahead of it's release, the filmmaker was seen speaking about some hidden truths of his past projects that includes the modern romantic cult 'Kabir Singh'.
Ranveer Singh was approached for Kabir Singh!
Recently, the director was seen interacting with a media forum wherein he talked about the idea of remaking 'Kabir Singh'. Taking us through the troll of his modern cult classic Kabir Singh, he called the movie 'challenging' as not many people have appreciated his idea of roping Shahid Kapoor for such an intense role. During the conversation, he Mr. Vanga also revealed that it was however Ranveer Singh who was previously pitched for the role but he backed off. Continue reading below to know the reason.

As per the great revelations made by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ranveer Singh has called off the romantic drama for the portrayal of Kabir Singh due to the intensity of the role. Hence, he nodded a negative answer as it was too dark for Ranveer to opt such a role during that time. It was then when Reddy approached Shahid Kapoor for joining the movie. But not everyone appreciated the decision, as Shahid was always known for his soft boy roles. Speaking off Ranveer Singh, he quoted, "First, it was pitched to Ranveer Singh. I wanted to do it with him. But finally, he decided he will not do it, because it was too dark for him at that time."
Ever since the glamorous success of Kabir Singh, Vanga is constantly dragged in calls from Mumbai for remaking the project but it is painful to re-create something that has such a broad fanbase, revealed by Vanga himself. He called it 'painful' instead!
Vanga's belief in Shahid Kapoor
As per his further revelations, people were imprisoned in fear even during the process of it's making, as Shahid's films during those times were barely doing great and none of his solo leads has crossed Rs. 100 crore in the box office. So people were in quite shock on opting a 'mediocre' actor. But it was Sandeep who believed in Mr. Kapoor. He always though Shahid to be a fantastic actor, hence quoted "But I was always sure about Shahid, he’s a fantastic actor."
About Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal
Animal is an upcoming action packed thriller written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced under the banners of T-Series and Cine1 Studios. Apart from Brahmashtra fame Ranbir Kapoor, the movie will be made with a boggling budget of Rs. 100 crore which will also star industry fames such as Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Shakti Kapoor, Saurabh Sachdeva and Tripti Dimri. The enthralling looking movie is slatted to release on 1st December 2023.
