Emmys 2023 Winner Vir Das opens up about making his comeback into acting; Unveils wrapping up a series with Amazon!

Vir Das has recently outshone his caliber internationally as he has been awarded International Emmy Award for Best Comedy for his Netflix exclusive 'Vir Das: Landing'. The star has shared the award title with British teen sitcom Derry Girls-Season 3. His winning moment has established India's entertainment prophesy on the global front. Apart from being an outstanding stand up comedian, Vir Das has also aced his filmy career by contributing in some of the most memorable movies of Bollywood that includes Delhi Belly, Go Goa Gone and many others.

Vir Das to comeback in the world of acting?

Recently, during a post Emmy win interview, Vir Das has spoken about many aspects of his life wherein the star was also seen unfolding his sleeves for the cinema. as per the actor, he revealed about making his major comeback into the realm of acting. As per the information passed by Vir, he is all set to comeback in movies and his future project includes a co-direction plus a feature film. "Now we have a new office. I’ll be directing a feature and co-running a show soon and also starring in a feature, so this space will serve as a production space for both of these projects," he stated. Moving on further, he also unveiled about wrapping up a project with Amazon recently and an another one with Applause and how acing for his acting year 2023 has been!

His comeback doesn't hold onto the projects just mentioned earlier, instead he will be doing movies often now, said by the star himself. "If I am going to take three months off on an acting goal then it has to be really special to compete with stand-up. Now that one is able to bring an audience on the table, one is able to create the work that one is acting in a little bit as well," he added. 

FILMOGRAPHY: Looking back at his filmography, Vir Das has added his contribution in overall 18 Bollywood films. Stary Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. 'Namastey London' was his first Bollywood movie where he has done a minor guest role in a wedding sequence. Other movies include Delhi Belly, Love Aaj Kal, Badmaash Company, Santa Banta Pvt Ltd, Go Goa Gone and others.
