Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade is exclusively known for his comical roles in cult comedies of Bollywood. The prolific actor has suffered from a massive heart attack recently which he was seen recalling the physical turmoil. It was in December 14, 2023, after wrapping up shoot of his upcoming film, Welcome To The Jungle, when he had gone through an intense cardiac arrest. The news which flooded the tinsel in no time has turned his fans stunned and afraid. But as of now, Shreyas is under safe side as he is currently recuperating at home the post incident.
Shreyas Talpade shares his near death experience
During a recent interview, the comical actor was seen remembering the December incident where everything went off. As per the actor he was termed clinically dead and hence there were minimum chances of reviving back, only something miracle could save him. Calling the cardiac arrest as a 'near-death' experience he said, "Clinically, I was dead. It was a massive cardiac arrest. A wake-up call would be an understatement." Further, revealing about the incident he told how his two main arteries were blocked - one 100% and the other 99%.
Discussing about the incident more deeply, he opened up about the dark night of December where he was just moving back from the sets of 'Welcome to the Jungle' and finished shooting for an intense action sequence. As per Shreyas, he started feeling breathless and his left hand started paining after the last shot. "As soon as I got into the car, I felt I should head straight to the hospital, but thought I should go home first. My wife, Deepti, saw me in that state and within 10 minutes, we were on our way to the hospital," quoted while continuing further. Describing the hospital incident, he remember he could see the main entrance of the hopspital but soon his face started getting numb and he passed out in no time.
"My Heart Had Stopped Beating"
In an another instance of the conversation, he said, "My heart had stopped beating for those few minutes. Deepti couldn’t get out of the car from her side of the door as we were stuck in traffic, so she climbed over me and got to the other side to call for help. A few people came to our rescue and rushed me inside. The doctors did CPR, electrical shock, that’s how they revived me."
Meanwhile, after staying under obserbation for 5 days in the hospital, he was discharged and ever since decided to spend his time resting in home and close to the family. Later, the Om Shanti Om star also urged people not to take their life and early signs as granted as health is our foremost responsibility. Speaking off his workfront, he has done numerous projects, some of his well known are Om Shanti Om, Dor, Iqbal and Golmaal franchise. Currently, the actor is busy shooting for his upcoming projects that includes the multistarrer Bollywood anticipation 'Welcome to the Jungle' which will also be the Welcome's third installemnt.
