Delhi: Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja's home robbed of cash, jewellery worth Rs 1.4 crore

In a shocking incident, a robbery took place at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's Delhi house where thieves stole a huge amount of cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.4 crore.

Sonam Kapoor, who recently announced her first pregnancy with her husband Anand Ahuja, fell victim to a robbery as thieves stole cash and jewellery from her New Delhi house, which is located at Amrita Shergil Marg.

According to information, Sonam Kapoor's mother-in-law Priya Ahuja informed the police and filed a complaint at the Tughlaq Road police station.

Meanwhile, the staff members at the couple's residence, including 25 employees, 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners and other workers, are being questioned by the police into the matter.

As of now, the culprits have not been identified. Reportedly, the incident took place in February 2022.

The report stated that Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were not present at the house. Her in-laws Priya and Harish were living there with Anand's grandmother Sarla Ahuja.

Sarla Ahuja noticed the theft after the jewellery and cash, she was looking for, were missing from the cupboards.

It may be recalled that Sonam's father-in-law was duped for over Rs 27 crore via an export-import firm last month.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got married in 2018 and the duo is expecting their first child later this year.

On the work front, Sonam Kapoor will be next seen in the film 'Blind' which is being directed by Shome Makhija. Reportedly, she is playing the character of a visually impaired cop.

Earlier, she was seen in the film 'The Zoya Factor' and even had a cameo in Anil Kapoor and Anuraj Kashyap's 'AK vs AK'.
