Apart from Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Dhanush also informed his followers about his split via social media, while also requesting that they respect their privacy.

Dhanush wrote on his social media account, revealing the news of his separation from Aishwarya.

"18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate"
