“Diljit Dosanjh Was The First Person To Hear My Song ‘Main Fan Bhagat Singh Da’”, Says Ikka

Popular Punjabi rapper Ikka Singh was born as Ankit Singh Patyal in Delhi. He has worked with artists like Tanishk Bagchi, Diljit Dosanjh, Guru Randhawa, Dr Zeus, Kanika Kapoor, Neha Kakkar, Deep Money and many others.

In an exclusive conversation with PTC Punjabi, he talked about his journey from being Ankit to rapper Ikka. Ikka gets nostalgic as he talks about his early life and how he used to spend his nights in the studio and create magic with the beats by the next day.

Little do many music lovers know that Ikka has written the lyrics of the song ‘Main Fan Bhagat Singh Da’. He says that Diljit Dosanjh was his first choice for the song considering his powerful voice. He says “Diljit was the first person to hear my song as I went to him after writing it.”

Meanwhile, Ikka talks a lot about his growing up days and how he used to have fun in the city with his friends during the time of Diwali.
