Emergency: Kangana Ranaut introduces Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi in her upcoming directorial

Emergency movie: Kangana Ranaut is currently busy shooting for her awaited film 'Emergency'. The makers of the film are keeping their fans engaged with the release of one after the other character posters. On September 13, Kangana Ranaut took to her social media accounts and announced that actor Vishak Nair has now joined the team as 'Sanjay Gandhi'.

Yes! you read it correctly. Actor Vishak Nair will be seen in the role of late politician 'Sanjay Gandhi' in the movie 'Emergency'. The poster features Vishak in an intense look which has raised the bars of excitement for the upcoming film.

While sharing the poster, Kangana wrote, "Presenting the powerhouse of talent @nair.vishak as #SanjayGandhi; Sanjay was the soul of Indira … the man she loved and lost."

Expressing gratitude towards the team and actress Kangana Ranaut, Vishak penned, "Truly honoured to essay the role of #SanjayGandhi - an enigma whose ambition eclipsed all. Humbled to be a part of such a great team in @kanganaranaut ‘s directorial #Emergency."

As soon as the picture was shared, fans and the film fraternity were instant to drop congratulatory messages for the actor.

Meanwhile, 'Emergency' includes a stellar cast namely- Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, Millind Soman, and now Vishak Nair.

It was based on the life of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, which is played by Kangana Ranaut, who is also in charge of the director's chair.

While talking about the film, Kangana Ranaut said that the film was not a biography of Indira Gandhi and revealed that it was a grand political drama and will highlight the socio-economic landscapes of India.
