For the first time on Indian screens; Mike Tyson to play pivotal role in Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger'

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson will be seen in Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming movie 'Liger'.

The release date of the much-anticipated "Liger," starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey, announced. The release date was announced alongside a poster for the highly anticipated film.

Apart from Vijay and Ananya, the film altos includes Ramya Krishnan, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, Ronit Roy, Getup Srinu, and Abdul Quadir Amin in pivotal roles.

Karan Johar, who is backing the project, confirmed the news on his Twitter account on Monday. “For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team!” he wrote on his Twitter account.

The film Liger marks the first time actor Vijay Deverakonda and director Puri Jagannadh have worked together. The actor will play an MMA fighter with a stutter in the film.

While the film is being shot in two languages — Telugu and Hindi — it will also be dubbed in several others.

Vijay Deverakonda, one of the fastest rising south stars, rose to the fame in a short period of time. His unique film selection is said to be the main reason for his success. The movie will also be released in 5 languages namely- Talugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malyalam.
