Five days after her normal operation, the former beauty queen experienced a haemorrhage, a heart attack, and then went into a coma, according to the Independent. Her body has been given to a medical examiner for an autopsy.

Sources say that Gleycy Correia, who had won the title of Miss United Continents Brazil in 2018, passed away on Monday at a private clinic. After having her tonsils removed, she experienced severe bleeding, which on April 4th resulted in a heart arrest. Prior to her passing away, she had been in a coma for two months.

“We're deeply saddened by this loss. She was an amazing woman and much loved by everyone. It won't be easy to live without her smile and shine,” the family pastor told The Washington Post.
“God chose this day to collect our princess. We know that she will be greatly missed, but she will now be brightening the sky with her smile. She fulfilled her purpose and left her legacy of love in us!” he added.
Who was Gleycy Correia?
She was born in Macae, a Brazilian city close to the Atlantic coast that is located 120 miles northeast of Rio de Janeiro. According to the Post, she began working at a young age, earning a job as a nail artist at a local beauty parlour before competing in the pageant and taking home the Miss Brazil crown.
Since winning the beauty competition, she had grown a sizable social media following. She had over 50,000 followers on her Instagram profile and was both a cosmetics artist and influencer. Following her passing, Ms. Correira's supporters, as well as her family and friends, paid tribute to her on that page.
