Why not? Himachal Pradesh's Suraj Rana aka Poppin MI has made India proud as he has become the first Indian dancer to win an International popping dance championship.
Suraj Rana aka Poppin MI turned out to be the winner in the popping category of 5 of a Kind Sreet Dance Festival Singapore 2022. So, ladies and gentlemen give a big round of applause to the Indian dancer for putting India on the world map.

It is for the first time that an Indian popper has won an International popping dance championship. Notably, Suraj Rana was the sole entry in 5 of a Kind Sreet Dance Festival Singapore 2022 which is an open event.
Dancers from over 20-25 countries participated in the event and India stood first in the popping category courtesy of Suraj Rana.

The event was judged by South Korea's Dokyun, Singapore's Jordan, and Nic. In the finals of the popping category, 'Poppin MI' was up against Singapore's Marzipan and the judge announced Suraj Rana as the winner.
Suraj said that it was his first international battle and he didn't even think about winning it; he just wanted to gain experience. Even he didn't expect that he will end up scripting history.

Suraj Raja is a professional dancer who hails from Palampur, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Poppin MI is his stage name and he is quite popular among the dancers in India. The 26-year-old dancer started dancing a long time ago but he dedicated himself to popping since 2015.
He not only participates in dance competitions but also judges the dance battles and competitions.
