Hitlist OTT Awards 2022: Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani's 'Shershaah' wins big

Shershaah wins Hitlist OTT Awards 2022: Sidharth Malhotra left an impeccable remark with his blockbuster film 'Shershaah' released in 2021. The movie which also stars Kiara Advani recently received big awards at Hitlist OTT Awards 2022.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani won the 'Best Actor' and 'Best Actress' awards, respectively, for their performances in the biographical war film Shershaah. 

Shershah was a commercially successful when it was released in 2021 on Amazon Prime. The film, a beautiful depiction of Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema's real-life love story, has given the lead pair a new level of recognition.

The film, directed by Vishnuvardhan and produced by Karan Johar and Kaash Entertainment, was released on Amazon Prime Video on August 12 in 2021. It garnered an overwhelming positive response from critics and the moviegoers.

In the film, Sidharth plays Captain Batra, while Kiara plays Dimple, his ladylove.

Captain Vikram Batra's brother, Vishal Batra, was ecstatic with the film's success. He thinks both performers did a phenomenal job in their parts. "It's never easy to play someone you don't know. Sidharth Malhotra put in a lot of sweat, toil, and labour for his job. Vishal Batra says, "Kiara Advani, who plays Dimple, has also been extremely convincing."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kiaran Advani will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan whereas Sidharth Malhotra has 'Mission Majnu, Yodha and Thank God'.
