Portraying the father of atomic bomb, Christopher Nolan has intricately portrayed J Robert Oppenheimer, played by the Peaky Blinders fame Cillian Murphy. While previously the mind blowing movie had also been able to win 5 among it's 8 starry nominations at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. Now coming straight to the biggest of award extravaganza, the Chrsitopher Nolan's sheer magic witnessed as the biggest achiever in the recently announced list of nominees. Leading all its contenders, the biopic drama was nominated under Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Actress in a Supporting role, Best Director, Best Cinemetography, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Production Design and Best Original Score respectively.
Barbie scors fourth spot in nominations
With a miraculously astonishing 13 nods in the nominations, Oppenheimer has been followed by the most deserving movies like 'Poor Things' - accessed second spot with total 11 nominations, with Martin Scorsese’s Killers of The Flower Moon garnering 10 spots. Barbie on the other hand which faught closer with Oppenheimer failed to win the major spots but however won 8 spots making it the fourth most nominated film at the Oscars 2024. Major nominations won by Margot Robbie starrer 'Barbie' includes Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Actress in a supporting Role, Best adapted screenplay, Best original song, Best costume design and Best production design respectively. While all the nominations of Barbie are quite worthy of it's size, the fantasy drama missed the key spots like Best Director and Best Actress in the Leading Role.
